I have been working as a Chinese agent for more than 2 years and here are some suggestions I could give. There are 8 questions you will need to ask.

1. if you have aliexpress shop or any site?

That is the most important, I say first .as one reliable agent should have their site or aliexpress shop, you could search for their comments on the internet and aliexpress shop grade also has the reference value. If you find their comments or the grade is good then we can go to the next step.

2. How long you have worked as a sourcing agent?

Yes, except for the company size, the number of staff, or the warehouse size, the more important is if your agent could help you find the manufactory, and negotiate the price with the factory if he could smoothly help you solve your problems you may have in near future. Unless you have huge orders that you can fit into only one warehouse, the first thing you should consider is whether the agent gives you a sense of reliability and whether he can help you solve the problem in time.

3. Do you have a quality inspection before shipping?

This is the question you must ask, as you don’t want your customer to know your product price or your customer to deliver goods with another supplier’s logo on them. quality inspections also could help reduce a lot of complaints of products,s not working or damage.

4. Do you offer a sample test service?

Finding an agent willing to help test product quality will make you more secure. When you find a product online, you won’t know its real quality of it, and also there might have several factories in China that make it. If you go to find the factory and order samples from the factory one by one that will be very troublesome. It will cost you a long time to find a factory and you might can’t find the most reliable factory. So you need your agent to arrange all the samples together to have a comparison. Or let your agent send them in on parcel to you.

5. What’s your delivery time to the USA or the delivery time to your customer’s country?

And could you show me the proof picture? Ask your agent directly if the delivery time they told is the actual delivery time. no need to feel embarrassed to ask it. An agent who can deliver parcels quickly would like to prove to you we are really reliable.

6. What solutions can you offer if my parcel is lost or destroyed?

The way the agent handles lost parcels is your after-sale way. Make sure your agent could offer the return or refund service, if they have a detailed dispute process policy let them send you.

7. How and when do they charge you?

Almost agents only charge you after you have ordered fulfilled. Ask if they charge according to the order value or charging by each item,
